一、英语教学工作：
在教学中，我们追求的是让孩子们快乐地上英语课。玩是孩子们的天性，课堂上，我们经常采用形式多样的教学方法，来激发学生的兴趣，营造轻松、愉快的课堂气氛。同时，我们还不断地创设各种情景，使课堂学习活动化、交际化，生活化。孩子们在课堂上全神贯注、兴趣盎然,在不知不觉中既学到了知识,又得到了学习的快乐。
二、如何让孩子喜欢学英语，主动学英语
1)首先让孩子明确英语学习的重要性，帮助他们树立信心。英语只是一种语言，不难，也不高深，只要学习方法对路，只要肯花功夫，是一定可以学好的，并且短期内就能收到效果。 2)帮助孩子建立和形成良好的英语学习习惯。可以这么说，良好的学习习惯是英语学习成功的一半。它分两部分：一是课堂习惯，二是课外习惯。课堂良好习惯表现为：能集中注意力听讲，能积极大胆发言，能适时的做好必要的笔记。这是孩子为今后学习必须掌握的一项课堂技能。课外良好习惯，主要表现为：能坚持每天听英语或读英语，认真完成老师布置的作业，主动预习新课，并对所学知识进行及时的复习和巩固。
3)要关注孩子的学习过程，不要只注重结果。就是说不要等成绩出来了再说如何，如何。而应该时刻关注孩子每一天的成长。所谓：好好学习，天天向上。一口吃不成胖子，一天养不成好习惯。比如说，每天，您是否能听到孩子脱口而出简单地英语句子;我们是否听到孩子大声地说或读英语，大声读英语尤其重要，因为英语的语音较汉语来讲，比较夸张，如果声音小，容易造成发音不到位，错音也不容易被发现。
4)不断激发孩子的学习兴趣。兴趣、情感和态度等非智力因素对英语学习起着极其重要的作用。中低年级孩子往往兴趣很高，但到了高年级，随着难度加大，兴趣继而大大减弱，这很正常。只有通过认真，踏实、勤恳地学习得到成功地体验，才能形成更高层次的兴趣。兴趣有了，自然就有好的态度，饱满的学习状态，学习就进入良性循环。 怎样帮助孩子学好英语呢?
三、重视良好的学习习惯的培养 :
(1)让孩子多听录音 在英语教学中，首先是加强听力训练和说话训练，然后才是读写能力的培养。听说能力差，用英语进行交际的能力差。为此，家长一定要配合学校来要求孩子，要创造条件让孩子多听，多听纯正的录音，听几遍、听清楚了以后，跟着说。现在英语试卷听力题占40甚至50分了。
(2)让孩子大声说英语 家长要每天留出20分钟左右时间让孩子读读英语，不管当天有无英语课。我们要鼓励孩子大声地朗读、对话、问答，大声说，不害羞，这样有利于清楚地表达自己，也有利于他人纠正自己的错误。
因此，请大家在家里督促孩子保质保量地完成英语作业，该读的读、该说的说、该写的写、该记的记，及时巩固，养成良好的习惯。父母亲的良好榜样起着很大作用。孩子一般还没有明确的学习目的，这时，父母亲对学习的态度，特别是行为，会极大地影响孩子。千万不能纵容自己的孩子第一次说：英语好难，我默不出来;就任由他去。你让你的孩子知道：今天，你花大时间去养成好习惯，明天，你就可以更好。今天，你偷懒了一会，你明天的作业就会更多。累积下来，你就是欠债最多的人。

And the way I got interested in this was, I noticed in myself, when I was growing up, and until about a few years ago, that I would want to say thank you to someone, I would want to praise them, I would want to take in their praise of me and I'd just stop it. And I asked myself, why? I felt shy, I felt embarrassed. And then my question became, am I the only one who does this? So, I decided to investigate.

I'm fortunate enough to work in the rehab facility, so I get to see people who are facing life and death with addiction. And sometimes it comes down to something as simple as, their core wound is their father died without ever saying he's proud of them. But then, they hear from all the family and friends that the father told everybody else that he was proud of him, but he never told the son. It's because he didn't know that his son needed to hear it.

So my question is, why don't we ask for the things that we need? I know a gentleman, married for 25 years, who's longing to hear his wife say, "Thank you for being the breadwinner, so I can stay home with the kids," but won't ask. I know a woman who's good at this. She, once a week, meets with her husband and says, "I'd really like you to thank me for all these things I did in the house and with the kids." And he goes, "Oh, this is great, this is great." And praise really does have to be genuine, but she takes responsibility for that. And a friend of mine, April, who I've had since kindergarten, she thanks her children for doing their chores. And she said, "Why wouldn't I thank it, even though they're supposed to do it?"

So, the question is, why was I blocking it? Why were other people blocking it? Why can I say, "I'll take my steak medium rare, I need size six shoes," but I won't say, "Would you praise me this way?" And it's because I'm giving you critical data about me. I'm telling you where I'm insecure. I'm telling you where I need your help. And I'm treating you, my inner circle, like you're the enemy. Because what can you do with that data? You could neglect me. You could abuse it. Or you could actually meet my need.
因此我的问题是，为什么我不说呢? 为什么其它人不说呢? 为什么我能说：“我要一块中等厚度的牛排， 我需要6号尺寸的鞋子，” 但我却不能说：“你可以赞扬我吗?” 因为这会使我把我的重要信息与你分享，会让我告诉了你我内心的不安，会让你认为我需要你的帮助。 虽然你是我最贴心的人， 我却把你当作是敌人。 你会用我托付给你的重要信息做些什么呢? 你可以忽视我。 你可以滥用它。 或者你可以满足我的要求。
And I took my bike into the bike store-- I love this -- same bike, and they'd do something called "truing" the wheels. The guy said, "You know, when you true the wheels, it's going to make the bike so much better." I get the same bike back, and they've taken all the little warps out of those same wheels I've had for two and a half years, and my bike is like new. So, I'm going to challenge all of you. I want you to true your wheels: be honest about the praise that you need to hear. What do you need to hear? Go home to your wife -- go ask her, what does she need? Go home to your husband -- what does he need? Go home and ask those questions, and then help the people around you.

And I want to thank all of you in the audience for being great husbands, great mothers, friends, daughters, sons. And maybe somebody's never said that to you, but you've done a really, really good job. And thank you for being here, just showing up and changing the world with your ideas.

尊敬的各位家长：
大家下午好!首先非常感谢各位能在百忙之中抽出时间来参加本次家长会，这是对我们学校和班级工作的大力支持，谢谢!今天这个家长会，是为了给我们学校和家长提供一个面对面交流学习的平台。
而我呢，在这，不讲什么条条框框的大道理。因为我比较年轻，我认为，在座的各位都比我更有阅历，更有经验。我在这呢，只是跟各位聊聊，交流交流。
第一，我想解决在座家长的一个困惑。
我相信，大多数家长都已看到过前段时间出台的英语考试改革政策，而昨天也正式出台政策就是20xx年英语将正式退出新高考。那在这，各位就不禁要问，英语还有用吗?还有必要学吗?而我的回答是肯定的，当然不是因为我是英语老师，我才这样说。首先，大家可以看到现在是个国际化的社会，在当今社会，与外界的交流，最广泛运用的官方语言依然是英语，在各种国际大会时用的最多的还是英语。像我们的，在出访埃塞俄比亚时，与当地就是直接用英语交谈的。而我也相信，各位家长还是希望自己的孩子以后能走出去，看看更广阔的世界，而这时，懂得一门通用的语言是显得尤其重要的。不说以后孩子为了更好的分数，为了更好的学校而学英语，就为自己个人的发展，学习英语也就相当于学习了一门技能。其次，现在大学里很多专业都还是要求英语基础的，甚至有些科目直接是英文版的。孩子的专业影响以后孩子的就业，如果你的孩子选择的专业就是这样的一门需要英语的专业，现在这个时候，你还会对他说，英语不用考了，学了没用的话吗?再次，我讲一件真事。这个五一假，我一个在重点中学做老师的同学来广州玩，期间，他谈起前段时间错失了个很好的机会。原来在他们学校里，有个出国去执教的名额，他极有可能去，但唯一令人遗憾的是他不懂英语。言语之间，不无失落。
在这呢，我也就是想告诉各位家长，在这样的困惑面前，作为家长的我们应该对英语持一个什么样的态度，因为你的看法会在很大程度上影响孩子的观点。如果你都不重视，孩子就更不会重视了。不管怎样，学习知识不会有错，也许这个知识还会成为影响你孩子以后事业的一项技能。
第二，我想给大家念个故事，也许有些家长曾经看到过这个故事，但请允许我在这用几分钟再念念这个故事。
有位母亲第一次被儿子所在的幼儿园请去开家长会，幼儿园的老师对母亲说 ：“你的儿子有多动症，在板凳上连三分钟都坐不了，你最好带他去医院看一看。
回家的路上，儿子问母亲老师都说了些什么?母亲鼻子一酸，差点流下泪来。因为全班30位小朋友，惟有自己的儿子表现最差;惟有对自己的儿子老师表现出不屑。然而，她还是这样告诉了自己的儿子：“老师表扬你了，说宝宝原来在板凳上坐不了一分钟，现在能坐三分钟了。其他的妈妈都非常羡慕妈妈了，因为只有宝宝进步了。”
那天晚上，儿子破天荒地吃了两碗米饭，并且没有让大人喂。
儿子上小学了。母亲再次去参加学校召开的家长会。老师对母亲说“全班50名同学，这次数学考试，你儿子排名49名，我们怀疑你儿子智力是不是有些障碍，你最好带他去医院查一查。”
回去的路上，母亲流下了泪水。然而，当她回到家里，十分亲切的对坐在桌前的儿子说：“老师对你充满信心。老师说了，你并不是个笨孩子，只要能细心些，你一定会超过你的同桌，这次你的同桌排在第21名。”
说这话时，她发现儿子暗淡的眼神一下子充满了光，沮丧的脸也一下子舒展开来。她甚至发现，儿子温顺得让她吃惊，好象长大了许多。第二天一早上学时，儿子走得比平时都要早。
孩子上了初中，学校又一次召开家长会。她坐在儿子的座位上，等着老师点她儿子的名字，因为每次家长会，她儿子的名字总是在差生的行列中被点到。然而，这次却出乎她的预料，直到会议结束，都没听到。母亲反倒有些不习惯。临散会，母亲去问老师，老师告诉她：“按你儿子现在的成绩，考重点中学还不太把握。”
母亲怀着欣喜的心情走出校门，此时她发现儿子在等她，路上她扶着儿子的肩膀，心理有一种说不出的甜蜜。她告诉儿子：“班主任对你非常满意，老师说了，只要你努力，很有希望考上重点高中。”
儿子高中毕业的那年。那是第一批大学录取通知书下达的日子，学校打来电话让儿子到学校去一趟，母亲此时有一种预感，儿子有可能被清华大学录取了，因为在报考时，她给儿子说过，她相信自己的儿子有能力考取这所学校。
儿子从学校回来了，把一封印有清华大学招生办公室的特快专递交到她的手里之后，突然转身跑到自己的房间里大哭起来。边哭边说：“妈妈，我一直都知道，其实我并不是一个非常聪明的孩子，是您这些年来始终的鼓励„„”
这时，母亲悲喜交加，再也按捺不住十几年来凝聚在心中的泪水，任它打湿在手中的信封上。
通过这个故事，我想各位家长也能明白我的意思，就是对孩子要进行赏识教育，不要用全世界孩子的优点去比孩子身上的缺点，多鼓励鼓励孩子，并且真正花心思在孩子身上。有很多家长会说，一直都忙，没时间管。这我们能理解，但孩子是你的，不是学校的，作为老师我们一定会尽职尽责地教育孩子，而家长也是孩子的第一教师。有调查证明，作为父母的我们只要每天有15分钟的时间是完完全全陪着孩子的，这个孩子的成长也会不一样的。这个陪是指父母在这15分钟时间里不做任何与孩子的无关的事，比如坐在孩子身边玩手机，看电脑等，这也是不行的。同时，在陪伴孩子时，多夸夸孩子，但也不要为了夸孩子而夸孩子，太容易得到的东西往往不会让人懂得珍惜。
第三，我想说说我们班英语学习的状况。八年级的教学主要是要培养学生学习英语的兴趣，养成良好的学习英语的习惯。我的课堂也是围绕听、说、读、写几个方面对所学知识进行操练和运用。通过这两个月教学，我发现我们班大部分学生都自尊心强，上进心强，都能很用心认真的学习英语，这使我对他们充满信心。但是也发现了以下问题：
1.学习态度不够端正。上课听讲不专心，爱开小差;讲了的作业交上来还是错误的;
2.不能按时完成最基本的学习任务。单词，词组和课文不会背不会写不会默，达不到要求也不努力去完成。还有拖欠作业的情况。很多男生自律性较差，很懒惰，今天拖明天明天拖后天。
3.学习习惯差。没有做到每天记单词，或者记单词不动笔，上课记笔记要点名提醒，听力不做预测，写完作文从来不检查，英语课文和笔记课后从来不读不看不记。从来不做阅读，导致考试速度慢，效果差。
针对以上问题，我也研究了一些方法和策略，需要各位家长的配合和支持。
1、督促学生在家听英语磁带，最好能每天坚持听5——10分钟，这将对孩子的学习有很大帮助。
2、争取消化当天所学的单词，不要积压任务。每天坚持检查10个单词，一本书的单词也只要一个月就记完了。我每天都会组织一次听写，错误比较多的同学会及时让他们改正。请家长要检查听写本。
3、请家长督促孩子在家里完成家庭作业，以免他们来学校在匆忙之中互相抄袭。每天回家要求记本单元的单词，有时会默写2A部分课文。这也是为了给学生一点点压力，让他们知道父母会经常检查他们的作业本，一定要认真写才行。
4、每天要学会预习、复习。如果你的孩子英语基础不是很好，可以督促他们先在家查字典。
总之，我和各位家长有着共同的心愿，都想尽自己最大的努力去培养这些孩子，他们个个都聪明、可爱，只是有些孩子的潜能还没有得到充分的发掘。八年级我的目标是不让一个学生掉队。今后，我也希望和各位家长保持联系，如果孩子遇到学习问题我们及时沟通。
以上，是我这次想跟各位家长交流的，如有说得不得当的地方，请各位家长海涵。最后，祝愿我们的孩子百尺竿头，更进一步，祝愿我们的家长身体健康、工作顺利!
